We have an exciting opportunity for a Substance Misuse Recovery Coordinator to join a dedicated substance misuse service in Blackpool. This full-time locum role offers a competitive hourly rate of £22.00 and an initial two-month contract with the potential for extension. This is an excellent opportunity to support individuals on their recovery journey, delivering person-centred interventions that promote positive change and long-term recovery.

What you will do:

  • Complete comprehensive assessments to identify clients' individual needs and develop personalised recovery plans.
  • Provide ongoing recovery-focused keywork sessions, supporting individuals through every stage of their treatment and recovery journey.
  • Deliver harm reduction advice, motivational interventions, and relapse prevention strategies to promote positive outcomes.
  • Facilitate one-to-one and group sessions that encourage engagement, education, and sustained recovery.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, healthcare professionals, and external agencies to coordinate holistic support.
  • Regularly review client progress, adapting recovery plans to reflect changing needs and circumstances.
  • Maintain accurate, confidential, and up-to-date case records in accordance with organisational policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Signpost and refer clients to appropriate community services, housing, employment, healthcare, and wellbeing resources.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working within substance misuse, drug and alcohol services, or a related recovery-focused role.
  • Strong knowledge of recovery models, harm reduction principles, and person-centred support approaches.
  • Excellent communication, assessment, and caseload management skills.
  • Experience working collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
  • An enhanced DBS is desirable.
