The South Derbyshire South Adult Social Work Team are based in Swadlincote and we are seeking to recruit two experienced Social Workers to join our friendly, community-based team of Social Care Practitioners and Social Workers on a 12 month temporary contract basis to cover maternity leave. Post 1: 30 hours per week Post 2: 22 hours per week The team are highly supportive and operates on a largely agile, flexible basis across Swadlincote and surround village areas of Derbyshire, utilising link worker and champion roles to carry out Care Act (2014) face-to-face and telephone assessments and reviews. It is an advantage to have experience of taking the lead on Section 42 Safeguarding, chairing multi agency meetings, such as Multi-Agency Adult Risk Management (MARM) and completing Mental Capacity Act (2005) assessments, including Best Interest meetings, COP-DOLs and court work - though support, training and experience will be available for the right candidate if you wish to develop your skills in these areas. We are looking for a suitably qualified and experienced Social Worker Practitioner to join Erewash North Adult Social Care Team. This is a part time post covering maternity leave and covering the beginning of the week. You will have experience of managing a complex and diverse caseload, and of supporting students and/or colleagues to develop their own practice via direct support and 1:1 supervision. As Senior Practitioner you will carry your own case load, although smaller in number these cases will be more complex; you will be actively involved in the Safeguarding of Vulnerable adults, to include the development and monitoring of risk management plans. You will have experience of working in accordance with the principles of the Mental Capacity Act and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards. You will be committed to developing services that recognise the person as an individual and which build on their personal strengths and resources. Working alongside the Service Manager you will provide professional guidance and leadership to a team which comprises of Social Care Practitioners and Social Workers.
