JOB-20241107-791d94d2Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency has a new permanent position available for a Social Worker/Best Interest Assessor to work Full Time based in Bromley.The salary for this Social Worker/Best Interest Assessor job is up to 49,078 per annum. Main duties:<ul>
<li>To undertake Mental Capacity and Best Interests Assessments for Brimley Council Residents within the meaning of the relevant legislation Mental Capacity Act 2005 and Deprivation of Liberty.</li><li>To reach decisions and make recommendations to the Local Authority as to whether arrangements for care and treatment of a person in a care home or hospital requires authorisation under Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards.</li><li>To undertake DoLS review when requested by Managing authority or RPR and make professional recommendations as appropriate.</li><li>To prioritise and respond to urgent referrals in timely manner without breaching statutory deadlines.</li><li>To work in partnership with all internal and external professionals and organisations involved in the assessment and service provision through effective communication and consultation networks ensuring a coordinated response to service users and carers.</li><li>To co-ordinate, participate and, where appropriate chair meetings with representatives from managing authorities, families and other professionals.</li><li>To provide professional advice and expertise to less experienced staff e.g. Administrative Staff, Students and other colleagues.</li><li>To participate in providing advice BIA practice issues within Adult Social Services, i.e. involvement in training and development and dissemination of up to date DoLS legislative information.</li><li>To undertake safeguard investigations, ensuring that the Council’s safeguarding policy and procedures are adhered to whilst working with vulnerable adults and children and undertaking investigations as required.</li><li>To participate as a member of the Team in planning, developing and monitoring the Deprivation of Liberty Service.</li><li>To undertake available training opportunities including refreshers and demonstrate a commitment to continuous development, to maximise potential and ensure the efficient and effective delivery of service.</li><li>To undertake any other duties commensurate with the level of the post, as required to ensure the efficient and effective running of the Department/Section.</li></ul>
Requirements of this Social Worker/Best Interest Assessor job:<ul>
<li>A social Work Qualification or equivalent.</li><li>Understanding of relevant legislation.</li><li>Registered or eligible for registration.</li></ul>
