What you will do:

Undertake screening and triage of safeguarding referrals, making timely, evidence-based decisions on thresholds and intervention pathways.
Assess and analyse risk using multi-agency information to inform Section 17 and Section 47 enquiries under the Children Act 1989.
Manage a caseload of complex child protection cases, ensuring effective safeguarding and positive outcomes for children and families.
Work collaboratively with partner agencies to share information lawfully and coordinate safeguarding responses.
Provide professional advice, mentoring, and informal supervision to social workers and support staff within the team.

Person Specification:

Qualifications:

Degree in Social Work (DipSW/CQSW or equivalent)
Evidence of continued professional development

Registration & Compliance:

Registered with Social Work England
Enhanced DBS clearance
Sound knowledge of the Children Act 1989/2004, Working Together to Safeguard Children, and relevant statutory guidance
