Deputy Manager - Residential Care Home
Salary: 32,000-35,000 per annum
Hours: Full-Time
Location: Rural area (driving licence required)
Service Size: 27 residents

We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and experienced Deputy Manager to join a highly regarded residential care home in a beautiful, quiet rural setting. This small and friendly home provides exceptional person-centred care to up to 27 residents with a broad spectrum of needs including dementia (mild to complex), mental health conditions, learning disabilities, physical disabilities, and acquired brain injuries.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious senior care professional looking to take the next step in their leadership journey.
About the Role:
As Deputy Manager, you will support the Home Manager in the day-to-day running of the service. Your focus will be on maintaining excellent care standards, ensuring a safe and supportive environment, and leading a team of dedicated care staff. You will also take a hands-on role in care delivery, medication administration, and staff development.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Home Manager in overseeing care operations and compliance.
Provide leadership, supervision, and mentorship to care staff.
Support the creation and review of individualised care plans.
Lead on medication management and ensure all protocols are followed.
Assist with audits, inspections, and regulatory requirements.
Act as a point of contact for families, health professionals, and external agencies.
Uphold a culture of dignity, respect, and inclusion at all times.
What We're Looking For:
Minimum Level 3 qualification in Health & Social Care (or equivalent).
Full UK driving licence - due to the remote location of the home.
Strong experience in a senior care role (Senior Carer, Team Leader, or Deputy).
Medication-trained and confident in overseeing complex care.
Understanding of CQC regulations and safeguarding protocols.
