What you will do:

Lead the development of the child protection team by mentoring and supporting staff, promoting good practice through training sessions and workshops.

Manage a diverse and complex caseload, conducting in-depth assessments, designing safety plans, and ensuring the welfare and protection of the children under your care.

Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and actively participate in child protection investigations, as well as court proceedings when necessary, always working within legal and policy frameworks.

Collaborate effectively with families, caregivers, other agencies, and community networks to coordinate services and ensure culturally sensitive and appropriate care for all children, especially those from marginalised backgrounds.

Offer practice expertise and consultation to enhance the skills of fellow social workers, providing training and guidance to improve service quality and consistency.

Engage actively in service development initiatives and help drive measurable improvements in line with organisational objectives and policies.

Maintain accurate and confidential documentation of your social work activities, ensuring full compliance with data protection and organisational standards.

Manage personal and professional development with a commitment to supervision, mentorship, and ongoing learning.
