We are currently recruiting for two Social Workers to join the Hospital Team in Wolverhampton, offering an exciting opportunity to provide vital support to patients and families during challenging times. This ongoing locum contract runs until September 2025 and is ideal for experienced professionals seeking flexibility, stability, and purpose in their role.

This is a largely on-site role , and candidates must have access to their own vehicle and appropriate business insurance.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver high-quality social work interventions within a hospital setting.

Undertake needs assessments and contribute to discharge planning and safeguarding protocols.

Liaise closely with health professionals, families, and community services to coordinate care and ensure a smooth transition from hospital to home or other settings.

Advocate for patient rights and ensure ethical considerations are integral to decision-making.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records in accordance with local policies and statutory frameworks.

Requirements:

Social Work qualification and registration with Social Work England

Previous experience in hospital discharge, adult social care, or multidisciplinary health environments

Ability to work effectively under pressure and within tight timescales

Car driver with access to a vehicle and suitable business insurance (essential)
