Locum Opportunity: Social Worker - Adults Safeguarding Team in Bournemouth, earning £35 per hour for a period of 3 months. This is a full-time position that offers the chance to work closely within the community, carrying out essential safeguarding work. If you have been responsible for statutory Safeguarding Enquiries, Care Act Assessments, and S117 assessments under the framework of the MHA '83 for at least 12 months, we want to hear from you. You must have access to a car as the role requires a mix of home, hospital, and community visits. What you will do:
* Conduct statutory Safeguarding Enquiries to ensure the safety and well-being of adults in the community
* Undertake comprehensive Care Act Assessments, reviewing the individual needs of adults to provide suitable recommendations for care plans
* Execute S117 assessments within the framework of the Mental Health Act 1983, ensuring legal and health requirements are met
* Engage in multidisciplinary meetings, collaborating with various professionals to achieve best outcomes for individuals
* Maintain accurate records and reports in line with statutory guidelines and organisational policies
* Support individuals and their families in navigating community resources and services
* Travel across Bournemouth for home, hospital, and community visits as required
* Be office-based for at least 80% of the working week initially to ensure full competency and systems access
