An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Locum Pharmacy Technician to join a specialist Prison Pharmacy Team in Huntingdon. This full-time position offers competitive pay of £29.00 - £33.50 per hour and a structured Monday to Friday schedule with no weekend commitments, allowing you to maintain a healthy work-life balance. While prior prison clearance is advantageous, it is not essential to apply.

Main Responsibilities

Process prescriptions efficiently and accurately to ensure prompt medication access for patients.

Maintain prescription records and filing systems in compliance with regulatory requirements.

Collect medications from the prison gate and manage secure transfer protocols.

Receive, unpack, and organise medical deliveries, monitoring stock levels proactively.

Administer medications under supervision, adhering to clinical governance and pharmacy protocols.

Essential Requirements

Experience: Minimum of 2 years' experience in a pharmacy setting , ideally with exposure to fast-paced environments.

Skills: Strong organisational, communication, and attention-to-detail capabilities.

Desirable: Prison clearance is preferred but not essential -support may be available for obtaining clearance.
