Swindon Borough Council is currently seeking experienced Locum Social Workers to join their Family Safeguarding Team for a full-time role in the heart of Swindon. Each pod comprises five Social Workers and one Manager, providing a robust support network.

What you will do:

* Undertake comprehensive assessments, including parenting assessments, ensuring they are completed in a timely manner to inform the development of outcome-focused care plans for children and their families.

* Handle care proceedings within the court, covering both private and public cases, and work diligently to initiate and complete these within court-imposed timescales.

* Develop and implement permanency plans for children, including organizing adoption processes when necessary.

* Assess and respond to complex risks involving children and families, providing thorough analysis and evidence of interventions in your records.
