Social Worker - Children With Disabilities Team
Location: Salisbury, Wiltshire Hourly Rate: £36.54 Contract Type: Locum, Ongoing Working Pattern: Full-Time or Part-Time

Key Responsibilities
Conduct Child and Family Assessments under the Children Act 1989, with a specific focus on children and young people with disabilities.
Identify and act upon safeguarding concerns , initiating Section 47 enquiries where needed.
Manage cases across Child in Need , Child Protection , and Looked After Children plans, ensuring timely interventions and reviews.
Work collaboratively with multi-agency partners including health, education, and voluntary sectors to deliver coordinated support.
Assist with transitions planning for young people aged 14+, liaising with Adult Services to ensure continuity of care.
Prepare professional documentation and attend court proceedings as required.
Maintain clear, accurate, and up-to-date case records in compliance with statutory requirements and local authority guidelines.
Essential Requirements
Qualified Social Worker , registered with Social Work England .
Post-qualified experience within children's statutory services, ideally involving work with children with disabilities or complex needs.
Strong understanding of relevant legislation (Children Act 1989, SEND Code of Practice, safeguarding frameworks).
Excellent analytical, communication, and advocacy skills.
Confidence in using electronic case management systems and IT tools.
