Job Title: Deputy Manager (Service Manager)
Location: Hastings, East Sussex
Service Type: Residential Home - Elderly & Dementia
Salary: Around £35,000 per annum
Job Type: Full-time
Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated Deputy Manager (Service Manager) to support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of our residential care home in Hastings. The home provides high-quality care for older adults, including those living with dementia.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a deputy or service manager role within a residential care setting and be confident in delivering and overseeing person-centred care.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Registered Manager in the overall management of the service
Lead, support, and supervise care staff on shift
Ensure compliance with CQC standards and internal policies
Contribute to care planning, audits, and safeguarding procedures
Support with staff training, rotas, and performance reviews
Build strong relationships with residents, families, and professionals
Requirements:
Experience in a deputy/service manager role (residential care)
Knowledge of elderly and dementia care best practices
Strong leadership and communication skills
Understanding of regulatory requirements and person-centred care
NVQ Level 3 or above in Health & Social Care (Level 5 desirable)
