This exciting three-month locum opportunity in Southwark calls for an experienced and confident Social Work Team Manager to lead our Family Help & Support Team. You will be working full-time in a dynamic environment, managing a team of three Senior Family Help and Support Practitioners as you tackle a high volume of complex help and support requests. This role is pivotal in guiding families who have transitioned from statutory work, ensuring their progress and safeguarding positive outcomes for children.

What you will do:
* Promote excellent early help family practice by assessing needs, planning effectively with families, support networks, and other professionals.
* Lead a cohesive, co-located team to guarantee that service responses at the first point of contact are effective and child-focused.
* Encourage multi-disciplinary cooperation for joint assessments and integrated service delivery.
* Supervise up to four early help practitioners performing MASH checks, progressing Tier 2 contacts, and conducting single family visits when immediate help is necessary.
* Oversee the Family Early Help Assessment, ensuring services are culturally appropriate and securely designed for family participation.
* Prioritise MASH Intelligence Checks, maintaining timelines and ensuring appropriations meet set standards.
* Collaborate closely with the Service Manager to maintain core priorities and deliver meaningful outcomes for families.
