Job Description
Senior Care Assistant - Days or Nights - £13.71/hr - Newcastle upon Tyne
Residential Elderly & Dementia Care | 36-48 Hour Contracts | Paid Breaks
We're recruiting 2 Senior Care Assistants to join our well-established residential care home in Newcastle upon Tyne, part of a respected care organisation specialising in elderly and dementia care.
Shifts:
- Days - 8am to 8pm
- Nights - 8pm to 8am
- 36 to 48 hours per week, paid breaks included
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and support the care team during your shift
Deliver safe, high-quality care tailored to residents' individual needs
Assist with personal care, mobility, and daily living
Administer medication and maintain accurate records
Promote dignity, independence, and wellbeing
Ensure smooth handovers and respond to any issues or emergencies
Requirements:
Experience in a care home setting (elderly or dementia care preferred)
NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or working towards)
Confident team leader with strong communication skills
Medication trained and familiar with care planning
