Role: Social Worker - Safeguarding & Support Team Location: Blackburn with Darwen, Lancashire (UK) Hourly Rate: £39.00 Contract Type: Ongoing - Full Time / Part Time Start Dates: One immediate start; one position available from June/July

Role Overview

Opportunity to join a Safeguarding & Support Team within Blackburn with Darwen Children's Services, recently rated 'Good' following a full ILACS Ofsted inspection.

Primary focus on conducting parenting assessments within pre-proceedings, with potential involvement in care proceedings.

Flexible working arrangements available (full time or part time).

One role available immediately; a second role starting in June/July.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out detailed parenting assessments within the pre-proceedings phase.

Manage and maintain a varied caseload with accurate and timely record-keeping.

Support families and safeguard children through multi-agency collaboration.

Contribute to care proceedings where applicable, offering informed case recommendations.

Attend meetings and work from the office a minimum of three days per week, with additional time as required by service needs.

Candidate Requirements

Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service.

Social Work England (SWE) registration, free of notations.

Full references ideally available.

Daily access to a vehicle and a valid driving licence.

Proficiency in caseload management essential; experience with Liquid Logic is advantageous but not required.
