Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Locum Social Worker to join the Fostering Team in Blackpool. Key Responsibilities:

* Conduct assessments of family and friends to determine their suitability as foster carers, in collaboration with the Family Safeguarding Team.

* Contribute to the care planning process, in line with court decisions.

* Demonstrate a strong understanding of kinship care arrangements, including connected carers and special guardians, while implementing the Government's kinship strategy.

* Develop detailed reports and collaborate with relevant agencies to ensure compliance with fostering regulations and National Minimum Standards.

* Analyse the strengths and support needs of proposed carers creatively, ensuring robust assessments.

* Verified gaps in employment history.

* Valid Child & Adult Workforce DBS.

* Relevant qualifications as per job description.
