Deputy Care Manager
Location: Residential Care Home, Newcastle upon Tyne
Specialism: Elderly and Dementia Care
We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Deputy Care Manager to join our team at our residential care home in Newcastle upon Tyne. Specializing in elderly and dementia care, our home is committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment for residents and staff alike.
Position Details:
- Salary: £15.00 per hour
- Hours: 40 hours per week
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Your Responsibilities:
- Support the Registered Manager in all aspects of running the home, ensuring high-quality, person-centered care.
- Supervise and guide the care team, promoting best practices and professional development.
- Oversee the creation and implementation of individualized care plans to meet residents' needs.
- Conduct staff training, performance reviews, and ensure compliance with care standards.
- Ensure the home operates in full compliance with CQC regulations and policies.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with residents, families, and external stakeholders.
- Assist with administrative tasks, including scheduling, audits, and care records.
About You:
- Proven experience in a leadership role within a care home or similar setting.
- NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or higher) or equivalent qualification.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- A compassionate and proactive approach to care management.
- Thorough understanding of CQC standards and care home operations.
- A passion for delivering high-quality care to elderly residents, particularly those living with dementia.
