Social Care Workers, Young Persons Res

CPL Healthcare is delighted to announce that we are working with a Children’s Residential Service to recruit Social Care Workers. We are currently Primary Activity Therapists to key work with young people in a residential service. This will include working 4 x 10-hour days weekly in a residential service for young people. Using the Social Pedagogy model of care and practice our client places a strong focus on building long-term relationships with their service users.

Based in South Tipperary, our client operates 3 Registered Children’s Residential centers, whose mission is to provide a family-style environment in which the young people can safely live and be involved with the activities and programs on offer.

The successful candidate will be required to ensure that all care practices comply with the relevant childcare legislation and to work in partnership with parents and carers of the service users. Implementation of care programs and occupational pursuits will be key to this role along with participation in education programmes, leisure activities, and holidays as required.

To be considered for the role, interested applicants must meet the following criteria:

·       Minimum level 7 in Social Care/Social care Studies or relevant qualification

·       Previous work experience in a similar setting is desirable

·       Student experience in social care is also considered. 

·       Full Clean Driver’s License

·       Knowledge of HIQA standards

·       Eligible to work in Ireland
