Are you an experienced Mental Health Support Worker with restraint training? Jane Lewis Healthcare is recruiting compassionate Mental Health Support Workers to provide vital care to individuals in Bamber Bridge. Working with a leading national care provider, you will be supporting individuals with mental health support needs to enhance their independence and quality of life in a safe, caring environment.
Key Responsibilities of a Mental Health Support Worker:
* Provide high-quality support to individuals with mental health needs, offering person-centred care that promotes independence.
* Assist with daily tasks, including personal care, meal preparation, and supporting social engagement and activities.
* Implement safe and appropriate restraint techniques when necessary, following best practice and ensuring safety at all times.
* Engage and encourage individuals to participate in community activities, building their confidence and social skills.
* Collaborate with the wider support team, documenting and reporting on individuals' progress, and maintaining detailed, accurate records.
Requirements for the Mental Health Support Worker role:
* Previous experience in mental health support is essential.
* Restraint training certification is required.
* Compassionate, patient, and committed to making a positive difference.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
* Flexibility to work on a rota basis, including evenings, weekends, and occasional sleep-in shifts.
* A valid UK driving licence is advantageous but not essential.
* Right to work in the UK without the need for sp0ns0rship.
* 6 Month previous UK care experience.
