Job Description
- About The Role
- Hourly Pay: £16.00
Location: Hatfield
Shifts:- Days: Mondays Tuesdays Wednesdays Fridays Saturdays and Sundays 8am-8pm
We are looking for compassionate and dedicated female care assistants to work 12-hour day and waking night shifts on a full-time, part-time, or ad hoc live-in care basis to cover leave. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a supportive team and make a real impact on the lives of people with complex care needs.
Your Role
As a Sonderwell Complex Care Assistant, you'll help clients live the life they choose by providing personal and clinical care. No two days are the same; from taking clients to appointments to spending the day supporting their needs, you'll provide tailored care to ensure their well-being.
We are currently recruiting for a team to support a lovely, motivated young lady with complex care needs. She has a passion for F1, motorsport, art, TV, and film and is pursuing a degree at The University of Hertfordshire. During holidays and some weekends, she returns to her home in Gosfield, so it's advantageous if staff can work in both locations.
In this role, you'll provide one-on-one care, sometimes alongside another staff member. You'll assist her with her studies, hobbies, social activities, and trips out while providing clinical and personal care.
Key Responsibilities:- Tracheostomy care
- Ventilation care
- Oral and tracheal suctioning
- PEG feeding
- Oxygen therapy
What We're Looking For
We're seeking individuals who are fun, reliable, flexible, and have the ability to connect with the people they care for. Patience and adaptability are key to providing the highest level of personal care.
Supporting You
At Sonderwell, our support doesn't stop at training. We're here for you every step of the way, offering access to online and in-person training, as well as the opportunity to study for an NVQ qualification. Depending on your client, you may work alone or as part of a team, and if you're available, you could support more than one client.
Before you start, you'll meet your client and their family. Throughout your role, you'll have day-to-day support from a Care Co-ordinator or Nurse Manager, and you'll also have access to our 'Carer App' for valuable insights and resources.
What We Offer
We offer flexible working arrangements to suit your needs, whether you're looking for full-time, part-time, day, or night shifts. We also offer a referral payment for recommending new staff, and our employee assistance programme provides well-being support.
Diversity and Inclusion
We are committed to creating an inclusive environment where every employee is valued and respected. We welcome applications from all backgrounds and will provide accommodations for applicants with disabilities throughout the hiring process.
Given the personal nature of intimate care, our clients are entitled to select their caregivers in these situations. The preferences of our clients do not represent the views of our organisation, which is committed to being an equal opportunity employer. We offer a diverse range of other positions.
