Job Description

We are looking for an outstanding Bank Support Worker with a passion for delivering excellent care.

You'll have the opportunity to work bank shifts at Victoria House in Darlington. This is a 26 bed mental health inpatient service for men. The service, split across two wards, provides a safe and stabilising environment for men who are experiencing an acute episode of mental illness and require an emergency admission.

The ethos of our service is about assessing and treating service users in the least restrictive environment and planning for discharge in a robust and timely fashion. With a focus on stabilisation, we will support service users to manage their mental health, reinforce daily living skills and prepare for independent life back in the community.

Your day-to-day...

Offer enhanced care with a flexible learning approach for all the people in our care
Provide guidance & encouragement through physical & emotional support
Learn about individuals' specific needs & provide help in the most appropriate way
Assist with medical & welfare needs
Report on medical & welfare needs as required
Safeguard
Maintain a safe, clean environment for all
