Are you an experienced Learning Disability Support Worker with restraint training? Jane Lewis Healthcare is recruiting compassionate Learning Disability Support Workers to provide vital care to individuals in North Wales. Working with a leading national care provider, you will be supporting individuals with learning disabilities to enhance their independence and quality of life in a safe, caring environment.
Key Responsibilities of a Learning Disability Support Worker:
* Provide high-quality support to individuals with learning disabilities, offering person-centred care that promotes independence.
* Assist with daily tasks, including personal care, meal preparation, and supporting social engagement and activities.
* Implement safe and appropriate restraint techniques when necessary, following best practice and ensuring safety at all times.
* Engage and encourage individuals to participate in community activities, building their confidence and social skills.
* Collaborate with the wider support team, documenting and reporting on individuals' progress, and maintaining detailed, accurate records.
Requirements for the Learning Disability Support Worker role:
* Previous experience in learning disability support is essential.
* Restraint training certification is required.
* Compassionate, patient, and committed to making a positive difference.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
* Flexibility to work on a rota basis, including evenings, weekends, and occasional sleep-in shifts.
* A valid UK driving licence is advantageous but not essential.
* Right to work in the UK without the need for sp0ns0rship.
* 6 Month previous UK care experience.
