Job Advert Role Description

Hobbits Holt is 24/7 residential care providing support to 6 individuals

This role 30hrs on the floor with and 7.5 hours supernumerary. This will involve evenings and weekends.

As a Deputy Manager you will be confident enough to make autonomous decisions, while collaborative enough to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, you will ideally have significant previous Deputy Manager experience and demonstrate true commitment both to your own personal development and to the development of your wider team.

You will be caring and having a professional approach, strong work ethic, reliability and ability to build solid working relationships.

To be deputy manager, you will be flexible and have experience in leading a team as well as being able to demonstrate experiences and knowledge of supporting people in a proactive, person centred way. You will need to have the experience and confidence to deal with the Mental Health and Non-verbal individuals.

To support the Home Manager in ensuring that the home is maintained in accordance with our regulatory bodies. To line manage the senior team to ensure high standards of care and service are achieved within the home to regulatory standards. To support the Home Manager in managing resources to ensure sales and profits are maximised.

Support residents to live as independently as possible (including personal care)
Act as a senior member of staff on shift and be confident in supporting our residents and staff team
Build and maintain lasting relationships with residents and their families
Take residents out and about - walking, local cafes, local lunch clubs and coffee mornings, singing groups, outdoor parks and gardens
Drivers able to go further afield for longer day trips and events
Contribute to the on-call rota and a varied shift pattern
Work with a great team
