Job Advert Location Description

Devonshire Road is set in a terraced house off the high street in Palmers Green. The home has plenty of space, and offers five bedrooms and a variety of communal spaces, including a communal lounge, dining room, a bathroom and a wet room.

The ground floor bedroom has been adapted for wheelchair access, equipped with its own en-suite wet room facilities, and the communal spaces and the garden are also wheelchair friendly.

Job Advert Role Description

To be deputy manager, you will be flexible and have experience in leading a team as well as being able to demonstrate experiences and knowledge of supporting people in a proactive, person centred way. You will need to have the experience and confidence to deal with the challenging behaviours that autism can present.

What our deputy manager will do:

• Support residents to live as independently as possible (including personal care)
• Act as a senior member of staff on shift and be confident in supporting our residents and staff team
• Build and maintain lasting relationships with residents and their families
• Take residents out and about - walking, local cafes, local lunch clubs and coffee mornings, singing groups, outdoor parks and gardens
• Drivers able to go further afield for longer day trips and events
• Provide in house activities - singing, sensory sessions and baking
• Manage physical challenging behaviours
• Contribute to the on-call rota and a varied shift pattern
• Work with a great team and have fun!
