Job Description
Care Assistant
Having experience in a healthcare background is desirable but not essential as full training is provided. An essential requirement is a passion for care and making a difference to people's lives.
Our care home offers residential, nursing and dementia care.
A typical day will involve:

- Position: Care Assistant
- Care Categories: General and Mental health care (Nursing home)
- Pay: Up to £10.23 per hour £ 25534.08 per annum based on 48 hours
- Hours: Full time hours or Part time hours depending on preference 7:00am - 2:00pm / 2:00pm - 10:00pm (It will be a mixture of these shifts across the week and will include working alternate weekends)
- Flexible Shifts: Day shifts /Night shifts or Mixed are available depending on your preference
- Contract type: Permanent

A typical day will involve:
- Assisting residents with personal care duties such as bathing, dressing, toileting and incontinence care. Providing the highest standards of care, you'll champion the dignity, and independence of all our residents
- Supporting at meal times: serving meals and transferring residents to the dining room. This might involve supporting them to walk, transferring them in a wheelchair or using a hoist
- Repositioning residents to ensure they are comfortable and supported
- Admin duties: updating food, fluid and stool charts, supplementary files, daily notes and care plans
- Assisting with medications as required
- Comprehensive induction, on-going training and development
