Complex Care Assistant

22.5hrs permanent contract

£16,400 per annum

Care Bridge are a growing organising, providing complex care and support to adults and children within their own homes. Our bespoke service allows our clients to remain comfortable at home, whilst being care for by professionals and highly trained Healthcare Workers and Registered Nurses. We pride ourselves on delivering care that truly meets the needs of the individual we support, always providing a first-class service.

Care Bridge are seeking experienced Complex Healthcare Workers to support a child who has a Hickman line. A Hickman line is a narrow tube that is put into a vein in the chest to allow antibiotics to be given directly into the bloodstream.

Our young client lives with his family and enjoys spending time on his computer and socialising with his friends, family, and staff who support him.

Shift pattern:

This role is to support the child throughout the night, shifts are from 9.30pm to 6am.

You will be required to complete regular temperature checks overnight aspirate PEG when feeling nauseous or vomiting. Observe for signs of infection. TPN and Peg feeding experience required.

What we look for in a Complex Care Assistant:

• Have the ability to recognise deterioration in both psychological and physical health
• Have an understanding of safeguarding
• Be able to fit into a family setting
• Experience of working with children with complex needs
• Peg feeding/ TPN
