Relevant experience (min. 2 years) working at a senior level in residential childcare, ideally within a Learning Disabilities/PMLD environment.

Experience of leading, coaching and mentoring a team and ensuring that relevant Codes of Conduct are upheld.

Experience in turnaround roles/improving services

Compass Associates are proud to be working with a leading provider of wide-ranging services for adults and children with mental health needs, learning disabilities, with a remit to recruit for a Registered Manager to operate and oversee a 15-bedded home for children with learning disabilities in the Stockton area. This is an exciting opportunity for Managers who enjoy the challenge and satisfaction of turnaround roles.  

Summary                        

My client is seeking a proven Registered Manager who understands what 'Good' and 'Outstanding' care look like. A strong track record in achieving Ofsted results is desired. Someone who has a commercial understanding of children's residential but also adopts a 'hands on' approach, with a real genuine passion for 'positive outcomes'.  

The successful candidate will be responsible for the direct leadership, direction and management support in all aspects of the home. You will be required to focus on the quality, standards, growth and performance of the home. As the Registered Manager you will be responsible for ensuring the service is a safe and comfortable environment for each child to develop and reach their full potential.          

Interview Process  

2 stage process: An informal Teams meeting with the Managing Director, followed by a formal face-to-face interview.
