Job Description
Service Manager ( RMN ) - Mental Health Rehabilitation
Location: Torquay, Devon
Hours: Full time Monday - Friday 9-5 plus oncall
Salary: £40,000 per annum - £50,000 per annum - negotiable depending on experience
Further Details : An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced RMN to step into a service Lead role with a specialist Charity Hospital in Torquay. Working in collaboration with the local CCG This is a short stay, open unit for people who are in or recovering from a mental health crisis. Our dedicated team provides nurse-led support which helps to avoid the need for acute ward admissions and supports people to transition from an acute ward back into their community as part of the NHS Acute Care Pathway. Supported by the clinical Nurse Manager the role of Service Manager is to:
Deliver CQC registered care services to vulnerable adults using a person-centred approach that maximises independence and reduces the need for more institutional types of care.
To offer a responsive and efficient service to all with a strong focus on Holistic care.
To be able to vary hours according to the needs of the business, including some weekend/evening working, including participation in senior on-call duties.
To embrace and follow all CQC requirements and lead the service towards an outstanding CQC rating, through delivery of excellent care and efficient running of services.

- Registered Mental Health Nurse with clear NMC PIN
- Leadership and management level 5 is preferred though not essential
- Significant experience of operational and organisational management of a care service, including supervisions, appraisals, managing a budget
- Experience of leading a service to full compliance; experience of CQC inspection processes
- Well organised and able to prioritise to enable the service to meet rising demands
- Resilient and able to work under pressure
- Creative problem solving for innovative service delivery
- Highly motivated to ensure a high-quality efficient and safe service
