Job Description
Seven Resourcing are looking for a temporary Assistant Service Development Officer to work with the Commissioning Service in Southampton. This position is full-time and initially for a period of 6-9 months. The hourly rate will range from £20.00 - £25.00 per hour (PAYE and umbrella payment options are available).
The role:
Review of mental health support for individual in the single vulnerable adult housing related support (HRS) pathway, with a focus on costs and funding options (e.g packages of support, staffing capacity).
Development of a city wide hoarders protocol, through stakeholder and partner engagement, emerging through and beyond the development of a local stakeholder Hoarders forum.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the Integrated Commissioning Unit in service planning and strategy by undertaking specific areas of work including:
Work with clinical and professional colleagues to develop effective and efficient models of service delivery in line with the CCG and SCC commissioning strategies.
Undertake and contribute to needs assessment to inform planning and developing commissioning options including the analysis of a variety of information.
Undertake service reviews and develop option appraisals to support commissioning decisions.
Work with all stakeholders to ensure active participation in the development and design of services.
Develop detailed service specifications which are based on clear measurable outcomes and include arrangements for monitoring and review.
Identify priorities and gaps in existing service provision and propose effective and value adding solutions.
Work with service providers and others to develop a culture of continuous improvement using contacting mechanisms as appropriate.
Support the delivery of quality improvement programmes.
Contribute to the development of strategic priorities, team and business plans.
Ensure effective mechanisms for service user/patient/carer consultation which results in their views being appropriately reflected in commissioning plans.
Through commissioning activity support the delivery of any required strategic plans.
Contribute to business plans and business cases as required..
Produce reports and presentations to a range of audiences and stakeholders.
Applicant Requirements:
* Qualifications: Degree or equivalent experience.
* Experience: Experience of managing projects and achieving outcomes in timescales and complex settings.
* Compliance: 2 x references and proof of right to work in the UK.
* Travel: Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.
* Hours: 37 hours p/w.
