Job Description

Assistant Care Co-ordinator

Kingdom Healthcare are specialists in home care, providing care services for clients across Northern Ireland. We are currently recruiting for an Assistant Care Coordinator to join our Belfast team. This is a great opportunity for career progression.

Location: Belfast, Stranmillis Road

Working Hours: 40 hours per week

Shift Pattern: 9am – 5pm

Hourly Rate: £10.25 per hour

Main Purpose of Role:

• Support domiciliary care services, care workers and service users

in the delivery of home care in Antrim and Belfast, in accordance

with legislated quality standards and company equal opportunities

and health and safety policy.

• Work with a team of care workers in co-ordinating safe delivery of

care services as prescribed.

• Where necessary, cover planned/unplanned absence.

• Be responsible as the main allocated care worker for high

dependency service user’s care.

• Lead the care package in terms of co-ordinating services and

training care staff.

• Provide services in line with RQIA, our regulatory body and

exceed Regulation Quality and Improvement Authority minimum


• To ensure thorough completion and dispatch of weekly rota’s

taking into account staff availability, holiday leave and service

user requirements.

• Participate in an on-call roster providing cover to maintain the

service 7 days per week.

• To attend to the personal needs of service users as defined in

agreed care plans. Duties may include personal care, domestic

tasks and social care tasks aimed at creating a supportive,

enabling environment with the service user’s home.

• To carry out risk assessments on newly referred service users at

the start of the service, following any significant change and

annually whichever is sooner.

What we need from you:

In addition to being Professional, Reliable and an Effective Communicator:

• Two years experience in a supervisory role within the previous five


• Be able to take responsibility.

• Have leadership skills

• Self motivated

• Organised

• Flexible

• Caring

• Sensitive to the needs of others and to the sick or infirm

• An active team player but can also work on own initiative

• Computer literate and become competent in the use of Kingdom

CRM/Scheduling programs

• Adhere to the Data Protection Act 1998 & GDPR Regulations
