Job Description

Seven Social Care is looking for a qualified Quality Assurance an Performance Management to fill an exclusive opportunity specialising in the wellbeing of adults across Wakefield Council.

The role:

The senior leadership team in Wakefield is keen to develop and embed a culture and system of quality assurance and continuous improvement. We also wish to maximise the significant opportunities from the recent acceleration of health and social care integration. Although some steps have been taken already, there is a considerable amount of work to be done and limited capacity within the adult social care workforce, particularly the leadership team.

We are looking for two experienced professionals to lead an improvement programme, developing and improving existing quality assurance work and embedding a culture of continuous improvement, working alongside the existing senior leadership team and Principal Social Worker.

This additional capacity is required for 12 months to develop, lead and embed work in the following four areas:

Performance management and improvement, including data, intelligence and outcomes

Quality assurance of social work practice

Quality assurance of other adult social care statutory responsibilities

Workforce development, performance and wellbeing.

Our approach is geared towards performance improvement rather than traditional performance management. It will be data-driven, evidence-based and rigorous, including real time data to track continuous improvement. The focus will be on improvement, supporting the spread and adoption of innovation and best practice. It will encompass staff, service user and carer input, requiring skills in change and improvement at all levels in the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

* Knowledge, skills and experience required

* Extensive knowledge of adult social care, operating at a senior level

* Social work qualification and significant practical experience (for one role)

* Experience of CQC or similar inspection regimes

Applicant Requirements:

* Qualifications: Degree approved by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).

* Experience: 2+ years working with children as a qualified Social Worker in the UK.

* Compliance: Up to date HCPC registration and DBS.

* Travel: Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.

* Hours: 37.5 hours p/w.
