Job Description

Support Worker, Leaning Disabilities - Worcester - £8.91 Pus £70 per sleep
 
This organisation provides care to adults across England. They focus on providing quality care at all times in a variation of settings including residential, supported living and outreach. They also operate in a not-for-profit bases and invest their funds back into the services to ensure clients and staff are the focus of all decisions made. 
 
This is a supported living service for 2 service users who live in self-contained flats next door to each other. Both of our lovely service users have learning disabilities and one has ABI with minimal support needs. We are looking for a strong and experienced support worker to hit the ground running.
 
You will assist will all aspects of daily care, including empowering the service user to live a full an independent life. You will arrange activities in the home and the community and will ensure solid relationships are built with the service users and staff team alike. 
 
This is a full-time permanent position, will be required to do days, nights and sleep ins. Sleep in rate is £70. Shifts are between 7:00am – 2/3:00pm and 3:00 – 9/10pm.
 
To apply for this job you must have the following, 

  • Experience with learning disabilities  
  • Experience in any adult’s care setting 
  • Experience with epilepsy is desirable
  • Passionate and enthusiastic about care 
  • Driver (desirable)

 
You will be offered an hourly rate of £8.91 and a sleep-in fee of £70. You can also take advantage of 27 days holiday increasing each year to 30 days, with the option to buy and sell annual leave.
