About our team

You’ll be working alongside our fabulous team who are super passionate about supporting customers to reach their goals and celebrating their achievements. To us were not just a team we’re a ‘work family’.

There are 4 colleagues in the team, and we don’t just love to support our customers, we’re there for each other too! We have Jacqui who is our mental health specialist, she takes care of our second house and advises us when we need extra help with our clients diagnosed with mental health conditions. We also have Vanessa who has a wealth of knowledge and is a whizz with PIP, UC and HB claims, she works Monday, Wednesday and Thursday around her young family. Jayne works alongside Jacqui and has experience from a variety of different settings, and Tanya is the newest member of the team, she has a wealth of experience working with families and has settled into refuge life with ease.

Working hours

You’ll work between the hours of 9am and 5pm between Monday and Friday. We need you to be flexible to meet the needs of our customers, but we aim to give you the time you need to spend time doing the things that matter to you!

About you

You’re passionate and motivated to help vulnerable children make positive and lasting changes to their lives. You’ll impress us with your ability to work on your own initiative, positively influencing the children from all different backgrounds. You will have experience in safeguarding, risk assessments, confidentiality, alongside working collaboratively.

We help change our customer’s lives for the better. You’ll play your part by assisting in the delivery of tasks that are based on the children’s needs and emotional wellbeing. You’ll work with our Support Coordinators and external agencies to assess and engage support for our youngest customers. We empower our children to develop the skills they need to successfully move on and overcome their challenges. Together we’ll make a difference!

If you’re not the biggest fan of technology, that’s not a problem to us. You do need to know that we are quite a high-tech company and most of our application process and mandatory learning are online. However, we’re glad to support you, if you need help.

It would be amazing if you have worked in this type of environment before, however it’s your “can do” positive attitude and enthusiasm that are critical to make this role a success. We can nurture your talent, just let us know in your cover letter why you have a passion for working here! Some experience of working with children is preferable, however.

As this is a community-based role, you’ll need to travel around to spend time with your customers. You could do this role using public transport, or if you drive and have access to a car that would also be amazing! (we pay your expenses to cover this use!)

Please note any offer of employment is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure check through the DBS the costs of which are met by Home Group.
