Compass Associates are working closely with a valued client, who have an exciting vacancy that has arisen in Weston Super Mare. They are opening a brand new service for up to 9 adults with a primary diagnoses of Learning Disabilities. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Manager who wants to join a leading organisation, and shape the service from the very beginning.  

The Role  

The new Registered Manager will set up the service from the very beginning. You will hire a full staff team and ensure the service is running in line with CQC guidelines, with effective policies and procedures in place, before taking on your first referrals. Ensuring people are receiving the best individual care and have updated care plans is essential. Creating a homely environment where people can live fulfilled, independent lives is essential.  

The Candidate  

The ideal candidate for this post would be someone who has experience in managing a residential service for adults with Learning Disabilities, and someone who is ready to take on the challenge of opening a brand new service. Someone with passion for the sector and a drive to ensure their service is the best it can be is essential along with relevant experience and qualifications.  

Essential  

- At least 2 years experience as a Registered Manager    

- Extensive experience working with adults with Learning Disabilities within a residential setting  

- A good understanding of commercial principles of running a residential service  

- Excellent knowledge of CQC regulations and legislations

This service is located in Weston Super Mare and is commutable from Taunton, Bristol, Bridgwater, Frome and surrounding areas.
