A large elderly and dementia care home in Bury St Edmunds is currently looking for an experienced Senior Carer/Care Assistant who is looking to make the next step in their career to work as Care Team Leader.

The home is fully CQC compliant and has an excellent local reputation for delivering high quality care in a picturesque, homely setting.

Details of this Care Team Leader role and what the home is offering:

• A permanent contract to work 48 hours per week on day shifts, covering a flexible, 7 day rota

• Great pay rates of £11.47 per hour, which equates to an annual salary in the region of £28,630

Reporting to the Deputy Home Manager, you will lead shifts, coordinate care and lead and develop the team of care staff. You will be responsible for medication management, ordering and stock checking in addition to creating and managing care plans and supporting the care team in the hands-on delivery of personal care.

What we are looking for:

• Have completed a minimum of NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care and medication training and you will be willing to undertake higher level studies

• Demonstrate proven experience in a leadership/senior role within the care home or elderly social care sectors and confident leading a small team

• Able to undertake all aspects of personal care and support and maintain the privacy dignity of residents

• IT literate and demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Able to work flexible shifts to meet the needs of the home
