Purpose of the post is to enhance nursing clinical practice related to positive behaviour support in our clients homes. The post holder will develop processes to improve the quality of specific positive behaviour support approaches, evaluate the impact and make recommendations for service improvements. The job will involve direct work with the people being supported. The successful candidate will apply the PBS philosophy and work from a person focused strength perspective to promote skills and strategies for independent life and promoting the principles of Person-Centred Active Support within services and embed this into practice.

To be considered for a PBS Lead Practitioner you must have the following skills/qualifications:

Previous experience as a PBS Lead

Excellent Leadership & Communication skills

Able to work independently and as part of a team

Ideally possess an MSc relevant to working with people with Learning disabilities

Will consider Intermediate PBS training (National Qualifications Level 5 or above)
