We are looking for a Recovery Coordinator to work with service users in Hucknall, Nottingham, supporting their social integration and enabling them to lead meaningful and purposeful lives.

This is an incredibly important, challenging and satisfying role, and it comes with a salary of £22,819 to £26,519 p/a DOE.

You will be working as part of a multi-disciplinary team to support service users from the first contact and through their treatment/recovery journey. Amongst your many duties, you will be providing assessment, recovery planning and onward referral, and helping to reduce drug and alcohol-related harm in terms of individuals and the wider community.

This is a very varied role, but in a typical week you would have been involved in some of the following matters:

• Looked after your assigned groups of service users, including 1-to-1 work
• Provided screening, asset mapping, recovery planning and reviews
• Captured timely and accurate data in online resources and reports
• Assessed groups and new service users in terms of risk and special needs

You will also be involved in triage assessment and onward referral to a range of treatment/community support agencies.

You will need to be creative, innovative, empathetic and assertive to meet the needs of the service user, promoting access to treatment and engaging proactively with underrepresented communities. You will also need to carry out key harm reduction strategies such as running of the Needle Exchange and distribution of Naloxone, after completion of appropriate training or demonstration of relevant experience.
