What you will do:

• Lead, manage, and mentor a team of Social Workers, ensuring high-quality service delivery within the Early Help framework.
• Oversee assessment and intervention processes to ensure families receive timely and effective support.
• Provide professional guidance, supervision, and support to team members.
• Collaborate with external agencies and key stakeholders to coordinate services and develop comprehensive support plans.
• Monitor and evaluate team performance against agreed objectives and performance standards.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and implement appropriate strategies to enhance service delivery.
• Manage team resources effectively to ensure operational priorities and performance targets are achieved.
• Provide expert social work advice and guidance to practitioners when managing complex situations.
• Foster a supportive, collaborative, and empowering environment where team members can develop professionally.
• Promote effective early intervention and family-focused practice throughout the service.

Essential requirements:

• Relevant Social Work qualification.
• Current Social Work England registration.
• Substantial post-qualification Social Work experience.
• Proven experience in a leadership or management role within social care.
• Experience supervising, mentoring, and developing Social Workers.
• Knowledge and understanding of Early Help and family support services.
• Strong understanding of assessment and intervention processes.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work effectively with external agencies and multidisciplinary partners.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
