About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and motivated Social Worker to join as a Team Manager within Children's Safeguarding Partner services. This ongoing locum role offers the chance to lead and influence multi-agency safeguarding arrangements, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of children and young people. Key Responsibilities
As Team Manager - Children's Safeguarding Partner, you will provide leadership, strategic direction, and operational oversight. Your responsibilities will include:

Leading and developing the Children's Safeguarding Partner Team to ensure statutory safeguarding responsibilities are effectively delivered.

Providing strategic oversight of multi-agency safeguarding arrangements in line with legislation, including the Children Act 2004 and Working Together to Safeguard Children.

Acting as a key liaison between the local authority and safeguarding partners, including Police, Integrated Care Board, Education, and voluntary and community sectors.

Coordinating multi-agency safeguarding policies, procedures, training, and governance frameworks.

Leading on the development, delivery, and review of safeguarding priorities, action plans, and improvement programmes.

Managing Child Safeguarding Practice Reviews and contributing to thematic audits to support continuous service improvement.

Supervising staff, supporting professional development, and embedding a culture where children's voices are central to safeguarding practice.

Ensuring effective information sharing, performance monitoring, and compliance with local safeguarding standards.

Working collaboratively with internal council services to promote high-quality safeguarding outcomes.
Person Specification
We are seeking candidates with:

A recognised Social Work qualification and registration with Social Work England.

Significant experience in children's safeguarding within a statutory setting.

Proven leadership or management experience within children's services.

Strong knowledge of safeguarding legislation and multi-agency working arrangements.

Excellent communication, partnership-working, and strategic planning skills.

A clear commitment to safeguarding, continuous improvement, and child-centred practice.
