Complex Home Care
Job Ref 26068
Job description
At Apollo Home Healthcare, we provide high-quality, person-centred care to people in the comfort of their own homes. Every individual we support has unique needs - we tailor every care package to them, building a compassionate and skilled team around their requirements.
We live and work by the 6 Cs: Care, Compassion, Competence, Communication, Courage, and Commitment - and we're looking for people who share those values.
Meet Our Client
We are seeking a caring and enthusiastic Support Worker to join our team supporting a young gentleman with an acquired brain injury while he attends university in Lancaster.
He enjoys online gaming with friends and regularly attends the gym twice a week. He has previously taken part in activities such as archery, and rifle shooting, and is keen to re-engage with these through university clubs. He is also interested in cycling on campus and joining a hiking group.
The role includes supporting him with organisation and administration tasks such as checking emails, managing a weekly planner, and keeping on top of academic requirements and deadlines.
You will also assist with daily routines, including mornings, preparing for lectures, and managing fatigue, as well as supporting independent living tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and shopping for essentials.
In addition, you will encourage social engagement, including attendance at university societies and activities, and support him to build confidence using transport and navigating the local area.
This is a varied role suited to someone organised, patient, and committed to promoting independence.
Please note: Due to the nature of our vacancies, our clients have the right to request either female or male staff.
This isn't just a job - it's your opportunity to make a real difference in someone's life."
