What you will do

  • Deliver high‑quality personal care, supporting residents with washing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Assist with mobility and transfers, ensuring safety, dignity, and comfort at all times.
  • Support residents with daily living activities to promote independence.
  • Provide compassionate care to individuals with dementia, physical disabilities, and complex needs.
  • Build positive, trusting relationships with residents and their families.
  • Monitor and report changes in residents' health and wellbeing.
  • Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date care records and documentation.
  • Support meal preparation and assist with feeding where required.
  • Ensure the care environment remains safe, clean, and comfortable.
  • Follow safeguarding procedures and uphold all care standards.

Requirements

Essential:

  • Previous experience in a care or support role, either residential or domiciliary.
  • A compassionate, patient, and empathetic approach to care.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and nights.

Desirable:

  • NVQ/QCF Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care.
  • Experience supporting individuals with dementia or complex needs.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and person‑centred care principles.
  • Medication administration training.
