What you will do
- Deliver high‑quality personal care, supporting residents with washing, dressing, and grooming.
- Assist with mobility and transfers, ensuring safety, dignity, and comfort at all times.
- Support residents with daily living activities to promote independence.
- Provide compassionate care to individuals with dementia, physical disabilities, and complex needs.
- Build positive, trusting relationships with residents and their families.
- Monitor and report changes in residents' health and wellbeing.
- Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date care records and documentation.
- Support meal preparation and assist with feeding where required.
- Ensure the care environment remains safe, clean, and comfortable.
- Follow safeguarding procedures and uphold all care standards.
Requirements
Essential:
- Previous experience in a care or support role, either residential or domiciliary.
- A compassionate, patient, and empathetic approach to care.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and nights.
Desirable:
- NVQ/QCF Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care.
- Experience supporting individuals with dementia or complex needs.
- Knowledge of safeguarding and person‑centred care principles.
- Medication administration training.
