What you will do

  • Undertake comprehensive assessments of young people's needs, strengths, risks, and circumstances.
  • Develop clear, outcome-focused care and support plans in collaboration with young people and their families.
  • Maintain and progress an allocated caseload within statutory and organisational timescales.
  • Conduct regular reviews, amending plans as necessary in response to evolving circumstances.
  • Keep precise and timely case records, ensuring young people's views are central to all assessments and decisions.
  • Manage safeguarding concerns, undertaking risk assessments and crafting effective risk-management plans.
  • Engage with young people to foster resilience, independence, and life skills, advocating for their rights and needs.
  • Work collaboratively with education, health, housing, youth justice, and voluntary organisations, ensuring holistic support.
  • Participate in statutory duties, contributing to child protection conferences and courts as needed.
  • Commit to professional development through supervision, appraisal, and continuous learning.
