What you will do

  • Carry out comprehensive assessments of children and families, identifying risks and strengths to inform intervention plans.

  • Develop, implement, and review effective child-centred care and protection plans.

  • Collaborate with families using a relationship-based approach to promote safety and stability.

  • Undertake Section 17 and Section 47 assessments in line with the Children Act 1989.

  • Prepare clear, evidence-based reports for court and multi-agency meetings.

  • Coordinate input from other professionals in child protection conferences and core groups.

  • Maintain accurate, compliant case records and contribute to reflective team discussions.

  • Support service improvement by sharing best practice and contributing to team development.
