Role Overview:
As a Social Worker in the Child Protection Team, you will play a vital role in safeguarding children and promoting better outcomes. This position involves handling complex cases and working intensively with families to reduce risks while enhancing safety and stability.
What you will do:

Assessment & Child Protection Planning: Conduct statutory assessments under the Children Act 1989, including Section 47 enquiries. Develop, implement, and review Child Protection Plans and Child in Need Plans.

Safeguarding & Risk Management: Identify and manage risks of harm to children, take protective actions, and engage in multi-agency strategy discussions.

Direct Work with Children & Families: Engage in purposeful work with children and families, ensuring the child's voice is central.

Court & Legal Work: Prepare comprehensive statements and care plans for court, participate in hearings, and adhere to statutory requirements.

Multi-Agency Working: Collaborate closely with education, police, health, and other partners for comprehensive safeguarding.

Recording & Professional Practice: Maintain detailed case records and engage in ongoing professional development.
Person Specification:

Qualifications: Degree in Social Work (BA / MA / DipSW).

Registration: Must be registered with Social Work England (SWE).
