What you will do
• Case Management: Manage a complex caseload involving Child Protection, Children in Need, and Care Proceedings.
• Assessment and Planning: Complete high-quality assessments, risk analyses, care plans, and statutory visits in accordance with legislation and best practice guidance.
• Safeguarding Leadership: Lead on complex safeguarding cases, ensuring effective and timely interventions are implemented.
• Practice Development: Provide mentoring, coaching, and professional guidance to Social Workers, including Newly Qualified Social Workers where appropriate.
• Multi-Agency Working: Collaborate closely with education, health, police, legal services, and partner agencies to safeguard children and promote positive outcomes.
• Meeting Participation: Chair and contribute to professional meetings, strategy discussions, child protection conferences, and multi-agency planning meetings.
• Court Work: Prepare detailed reports, statements, and assessments for child protection conferences and court proceedings, providing evidence where required.
