Purpose of the Role

You will deliver a high-quality statutory social work service under the Adult Support and Protection (Scotland) Act 2007, promoting safety, rights, and wellbeing. Your work will focus on risk assessment, intervention, and multi-agency safeguarding.

What You Will Do

  • Undertake statutory ASP inquiries and investigations in line with West Lothian Council procedures.

  • Assess risk, vulnerability, and protective factors to determine required interventions.

  • Lead or contribute to ASP Case Conferences, IRDs, and Core Groups.

  • Develop and review Protection Plans, promoting safety, choice, and independence.

  • Complete community care assessments under the Social Work (Scotland) Act 1968.

  • Prepare, implement, and review care plans for adults with varying needs.

  • Monitor care arrangements and respond promptly to changes in risk or circumstances.

  • Work collaboratively with health, police, housing, and other partner agencies.

  • Maintain accurate case records and provide reports for multi-agency forums.

  • Participate in multi-disciplinary meetings and contribute to coordinated support.

Salary range

  • £40 per hour
