Join our Adult Mental Health Team
We are looking for three enthusiastic and committed Social Workers to join our Adult Care Mental Health Team. There are 2 positions covering Amber Valley, and 1 for Bolsover and North East Derbyshire.
This is an exciting opportunity to join an experienced, supportive and friendly team working alongside health colleagues to help adults with mental health needs achieve the outcomes that matter most to them and maintain their independence.
We are passionate about strengths-based practice, professional curiosity and delivering person-centred support. Our social workers are encouraged to use their professional judgement, develop their specialist mental health expertise and build meaningful relationships with the people they support.
We offer regular supervision, a supportive management structure, ongoing professional development opportunities and flexible hybrid working arrangements that support a healthy work-life balance. We recognise the importance of manageable workloads and reflective supervision in supporting good practice and staff wellbeing.
About our team
We are a small team and pool our staffing resources across Amber Valley, Bolsover and North East Derbyshire to enhance the sense of team belonging and support. We are primarily based at Clay Cross, with additional office accommodation at the Parkwood Centre in Alfreton. Both locations offer free parking and good local amenities.
Supporting the manager are two Senior Practitioners and the team consists of 11 Social Workers and 2 Social Care Practitioners. In addition, the S117 Reviewing team and Adult Care members of the area Living Well teams form part of the wider team.
We have a wide range of experience including qualified Approved Mental Health Professionals. We encourage team members to take advantage of learning and development opportunities, including supporting students in their placements and newly qualified workers through their ASYE through to more specialist roles such as Practice Educator.
We have close links with our other Mental Health social care teams across the County, as well as our corresponding area general adult social work teams and are well supported by our Business Services colleagues in Amber Valley and Clay Cross.
