**Derbyshire County Council are hiring**

An opportunity has arisen within the Adult Care Assessment and Triage Team for a qualified and committed Social Worker to support Adult Social Care in Derbyshire. This team undertakes a unique function in the department and provides support to a varied mix of cases, including exposure to some unusual, or uncommon casework. The assessment of cases within this service is completed in short timescales and so may be of interest to applicants who enjoy extensive variety and the satisfaction of quick outcomes.

We are looking to recruit a qualified social worker to join our established team. In this role you will be providing professional triage and assessment, Safeguarding of Adult Social Care needs at the front door of Derbyshire Adult Care.

What we expect from our applicants:
  • Someone who can provide a timely response to adult's presenting with a wide variety of needs, disabilities, and circumstances
  • Be able to provide person centred and strength-based assessments remotely through a variety of online/communication tools.
  • Confident in using the Care Act 2014, including a good understanding of Making Safeguarding Personal, and the Mental Capacity Act
  • Someone who is a team player who is able to work closely with other disciplines and teams
  • Comfortable working autonomously with a positive and can-do attitude

The work is ordinarily office-based, as we undertake remote assessment and triage; the team are based in The Co-op Building, Matlock. We are continuing to offer a hybrid approach to working, so you will be able to work both in the office and at home as suits your needs and the needs of the service.
