As a Social Care Team Manager, you will play a pivotal role at the heart of the Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH), managing complex cases, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring the safety and welfare of children and vulnerable individuals. What You Will Do:

  • Risk Assessments: Conduct Multi-Agency Risk Assessments to safeguard children and vulnerable individuals effectively.

  • Family Communication: Maintain timely and transparent communication with families, both over the phone and in person.

  • Case Analysis: Analyse historical and current concerns to inform decisions and provide guidance to the team and partners.

  • Case Management: Ensure strict adherence to relevant timescales and efficient case management, maintaining accurate records.

  • Telephone Advice: Offer expert telephone advice to agency referrers, guiding them on appropriate actions and outcomes.

  • Section 47 Enquiries: Manage Section 47 enquiries to assess risks and determine appropriate interventions.

  • Enhanced Screening: Complete detailed screenings of cases to assess priority needs and ensure effective action is taken.

  • Threshold Decisions: Make informed threshold decisions, allocating resources effectively to support vulnerable individuals.

  • Signposting: Provide appropriate signposting for locality services, connecting families with essential support.

Salary range

  • £37.54 per hour
