About the Role

Are you an experienced Social Work professional with a strong background in Youth Justice and Criminal Justice Services?

Sanctuary Personnel is currently recruiting for an exciting Service Manager (Social Worker) opportunity within the Early Help, Prevention & SEND/Youth Justice Service in Haringey.

This is a rewarding opportunity to take a leadership role in delivering impactful interventions that improve outcomes for children, young people and families across the community.

You will bring a minimum of three years' management experience within the Criminal Justice Service, alongside strong knowledge of Youth Justice and children's legislation. Your ability to build effective partnerships and lead high-quality services will be essential to your success in this role.

What You Will Do

  • Prepare the Youth Justice Service for inspections, ensuring it is compliant and inspection-ready.
  • Audit active Youth Justice Service caseloads to monitor quality, effectiveness and outcomes.
  • Provide management cover and support to Team Managers and the Head of Service when required.
  • Participate in and support Youth Justice Service Risk Management and Out of Court Disposal Panels.
  • Oversee and contribute to Youth Justice Service learning reviews, ensuring learning is identified and embedded into practice.
  • Implement and promote the Youth Justice Service participation strategy, encouraging meaningful involvement from young people and other stakeholders.
  • Support the delivery of high-quality, effective and outcomes-focused Youth Justice services.
  • Foster strong partnership working across relevant services and agencies to achieve positive outcomes.

Essential Requirements

  • Qualified Social Worker with relevant professional registration.
  • Minimum of three years' management experience within the Criminal Justice Service.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of Youth Justice practice.
  • Sound knowledge of children's legislation and statutory requirements.
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain effective multi-agency partnerships.
  • Strong leadership, management, auditing and quality-assurance skills.
  • Excellent communication, organisation and decision-making abilities.
  • Commitment to improving outcomes for children, young people and families.
